Looking for a savory slice of pizza that can't be beat? These Tuscaloosa shops won't disappoint.

Just about everyone loves pizza. It just works for so many occasions. Whether you need a quick takeout meal after a hard day working on that home, you chose from Tuscaloosa homes for sale, or you want to take the family out for a birthday celebration or an after-game get-together, pizza is the food of choice. That's not to say most pizza shops these days haven't added to the menu, because they have — and there's plenty to tempt the taste buds. Our real estate agents are happy to help you find some of the best pizza venues in Tuscaloosa. Let's check them out.

  1. TuscNY. 229 McFarland Circle N., Tuscaloosa
TuscNY is in a small setting with great atmosphere and terrific pizza. Also highly recommended are the tortellini, cannoli, and salads. The pizza choices include some unusual ones, such as Mamma Mia, with crumbled meatballs and garlic confit, plus caramelized onions, mozzarella, and pecorino Romano, and Death by Pepperoni, with lots of fresh pepperoni. Finish up with homemade desserts such as Tiramisu and Pistachio or Creme Brulee Cheesecake. There's also a full bar to enjoy your choice of a drink with your meal.

  2. Broadway South Pizzeria. 5400 McFarland Blvd. E., and Broadway Pizzeria Express, 514 Greensboro Ave., Tuscaloosa
Broadway South Pizzeria and Broadway Express Pizzeria
are known for delicious pizzas, and get consistent rave reviews saying just that. But they're also known for great sandwiches, wings, salads, pastas, and sides, such as Garlic Knots, Cheese Sticks, Spinach and Feta Cheese Sticks, and Buffalo Knots with mild Buffalo Sauce. Pizza-wise, you can build your own pizza or order a Meat Lover's Pizza, with lots of delicious meaty toppings. More pizza highlights: Spinach and Feta, Chicken Alfredo, BBQ Chicken, Manhattan Pizza, Chicken Bacon Ranch, and Garden. You'll definitely find something to love.

  3. Pyro's Fire Fresh Pizza. 1320 McFarland Blvd E., Tuscaloosa
    Pyro's Fire Fresh Pizza
acknowledges that it's tough to offer all their customers as many choices in pizza fixings as they might want. However, Pyro's goes with a customizable concept that accommodates different diets and picky eaters. Pyro's, which is part of a small chain that started in Memphis and includes restaurants specializing in brisket, coffee, and chicken, gets raves for its cleanliness and friendliness, the fact it offers various hot toppings, and also accommodates vegans and those with allergies.

  4. Heat Pizza Bar. 2250 6th St., Tuscaloosa
Heat Pizza Bar, established in 2015, specializes in artisan pizza and salad, made from fresh ingredients. Choose a Traditional pizza — Pepperoni, Margherita, or Cheese — or a Specialty pizza, including Greek, Vegetarian, or Aloha (pineapple and ham); or Exclusive, including Thai Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, Spinach and Artichoke, or Gluten Free. Try some of the special salads, including Spicy Kale Cobb, Greek, or Wedge. Sample a fiery Jalapeno Popper for an appetizer, or a Limoncello dessert cocktail.

  5. DePalma's Italian Cafe. 2300 University Blvd., Tuscaloosa
DePalma's Italian Cafe doesn't take reservations, but even if you have to wait a bit, you're going to love this place. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere and friendly service with a glass of wine or a cocktail while you wait for your antipasti salad of prosciutto, artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, Mediterranean olives, and mozzarella on romaine lettuce, with Gorgonzola dressing. Follow up with traditional Italian fare (Veal Marsala or Gorgonzola Filet Mignon, for starters), or if it's pizza you're craving, they can do: Traditional, Milano, Piemonte, Catalonian, Asiago Chicken, and more.

So get started tonight on your pizza adventure. Then, if you've got questions about buying or selling a house, you can contact us today.
